Purchased this unit to mount a Gitzo GH-1720 QR pan & tilt head on with a 65mm straight Spotting Scope. I use 80mm to 88mm Spotting Scopes on high end carbon fiber tripods when I’m setup out side of the car. I like all the square mount padding on the inside of the clamp, and especially the large aluminum knob to tighten the clamp onto the car window. Unfortunately I have not had the chance to use it yet! It appears to be made out of high grade materials; with a nice fit, and anodized finish to it. (So far; I like it much more then my other window mounts that have a smaller tightening knob!) I normally only use a window mount when the weather isn’t the best to Bird outside the car. I also use a window mounted 65mm Spotting Scope when I am slowly driving around a paved roadway National Wildlife Refuge. It appears to be worth what I paid for it, and I am pleased with the purchase.
