The Kramer EXT3-U-KIT USB 2.0 PoC Extender Kit includes one transmitter unit and one receiver unit capable of extending USB 2.0, RS-232, and audio signals up to 330' using a Cat 6a cable in meeting room, educational, or corporate environments. The transmitter unit takes a USB and stereo audio input signal and converts it to a CAT signal. The receiver converts the CAT signal into a USB and stereo audio output signal. Connect up to four peripheral USB devices to the receiver such as keyboards, mice, headphones, or even a smartphone and extend their signals. Other accessories included with the kit are a 12V power supply and a 6.6' USB-A to USB-B cable.
Connectivity
The transmitter unit features a 3.5mm stereo audio input, an RJ45 CAT output, one USB-B port, and one 3-pin terminal block for RS-232 serial extension. The receiver unit features an RJ45 CAT input, a 3.5mm stereo audio input, four USB-A ports for peripheral devices, and one 3-pin terminal block for RS-232 serial extension.
Plug-and-Play USB Extender
The kit provides extended-reach CAT signals and 2-way power over twisted pair copper infrastructures up to 330' using a Cat 6a cable or 98' using a Cat 5e cable. A local USB host is auto-connected to remote-connected USB devices employing interrupt, bulk, or isochronous USB 2.0 standard data transfer communication.
Wide Device Compatibility
A wide variety of USB peripheral devices can be extended including cameras, touchscreens, smartboards, hard drives, game controllers, audio devices, printers, scanners, mice, or keyboards. Dual role and on-the-go devices such as smartphones and tablets, connected to a transmitter-side host port or receiver-side USB port, can communicate with a remote host or peripheral pairing device.
Remote USB Charging
Charge your peripheral devices with USB fast charge when the receiver is powered by the included power supply, and with standard USB charging when the receiver is powered by the transmitter via CAT cable.
Bidirectional RS-232 Extension
Serial interface data flows in both directions, allowing for data transmission and device control.
Audio Extension
Send an audio signal from an audio source connected to the transmitter to an active audio-playing device connected to the receiver.
LED Indicators
Onboard status LED indicators facilitate easy local maintenance and troubleshooting.
Easy Installation
A single twisted pair cable facilitates signal and power wiring. Both units feature a compact, fan-less enclosure for device-back mounting or side-by-side mounting of 4 units in a 1 RU space with a separately available rack adapter.
