The podium in the classroom I use has one HDMI into the AV system, but often someone brings their own laptop with presentation material and this little guy sure beats swapping cables from the house pc

Are powered switches like this more reliable than passive switches?
Asked by: Greg
The IOGEAR 3-Port True DCI/UHD 4K HDMI Switch will be very reliable. But if you compare it with a button-based HDMI switch, like the model below from Kramer, it would be a more reliable, better-quality switch. Kramer SWT3-41-H 4x1 4K60 HDMI Switcher BH #KRSWT341H

What power supply cable would you recommend? The connection on the device looks kinda weird.
Asked by: John
The power input on the IOGEAR 3-Port True DCI/UHD 4K HDMI Switch is a Micro-B USB input. The IOGEAR 3-Port True DCI/UHD 4K HDMI Switch comes with a USB (Type A) to Micro-USB Power Cable, but a power adapter may be needed to connect the cable to a wall outlet. The USB Type A end of the cable would connect to the power adapter, so a wall outlet adapter like the Belkin Boost Charge 24W Dual USB Type-A Wall Charger (BH #BEWCB2DQWH) would be a good pick to power the switch.
