I bought this stool for an upcoming road trip where I anticipate doing a little hiking. I'm old and I have scoliosis, so I figured it might not be a bad idea to have something available that I could use to give my back a little break ever once in awhile. When I received it, I was anxious to see how this would work out, and I immediately found it helpful even to take photos of my birdfeeders on my deck! It's low enough to the ground that I can see it giving me additional support when shooting with my telephoto, yet not so low that I will have trouble getting up. I LOVE the swivel seat! It's a feature that I didn't expect would strike my fancy so much, but if I'm shooting landscapes and want to change my view without having to get up and reposition, I think it will come in very handy for that! The construction seems very sturdy, and I'm anxious to see how it works on not so flat ground, but I think it will be fine! Plus, it is SO compact, it will be easy to carry. Some people may find it hard to attach the seat to the frame, but if you use the finger loops properly, they help quite a bit! I found it a little tricky to get it back in the zippered pouch quickly, but with a little more practice, I'm sure that won't be a big deal either. Bottom line, there is a little bit of a learning curve to make it work for you, but just be patient with yourself!
I purchased this stool primarily to use in my garden, it has not disappointed me. Additionally, I will use it to sit during 'non stadium' soccer games as it's light and portable. Another satisfied B&H customer!
