Offering a black-to-white gradient pattern, this thunder gray Graduated Vinyl Background from Flotone helps you quickly and easily create appealing effects that would be time consuming to achieve using conventional single-tone backgrounds. The 43 x 67" background is individually handmade from seamless PVC material. The silky, matte surface is glare-free and you can easily clean it with mild soap and a soft cloth. The background material and colors do not absorb water, so you can use it with ice cubes, fruit, flowers, and other props that might damage conventional paper or cloth backgrounds. The Flotone PVC background is easily mounted with clamps or tape, and can be used again and again.

For the larger size (43"67"), which measurement is the height? I am looking for one that is taller than it is wide, but the photos seem to show it as being longer in width. Thanks!
Asked by: Rebecca
FLOTONE dimensions are 43" Wide and 67" Long, so the larger dimension is the height. The graduations run vertically the length of the material. It appears there is some blue in this backdrop, from photos people have posted. Is this true? Trying to avoid blue, just want black/grey/white tones in the paper. Still using my graduated grey/white BH backdrop from several years ago but it adds blue tones often. Thanks.
Asked by: Lin
There is no blue on this background , you can add blue gel to the light if you want to add blue to the background . In your case you don't need to .

Can you recommend a support device or system to hold the graduated background? I'm now just thumbtacking it to the wall.
Asked by: Edwin
I use large clips to attach the background to a support stand that I also got at B and H. I trimmed the background to size and so it wouldn’t be so awkward to handle.

question

will the surface scratch?does it roll up for storage?
Asked by: LOUIS C.
The surface is printed onto the plastic substrate and will withstand careful handling. Items to be photographed using this background should be handled and placed gently avoiding sharp edges or rough surfaces.Surely this is a requirement in all photography. I am extremely happy with my purchase.
