No, the Aputure Light Dome III (35.1") does not have a gel holder like the version II had.

I’m aware this doesn’t include the inner baffle or gel holder that the model II had, but will they fit on the new model? Or has the capability to use a gel holder and inner baffle been made impossible?

At this time the only light dome that is larger than the Aputure Light Dome III (35.1") is the Aputure Light Dome 150 Softbox (5'). And that is still only version one.

Is this really compatible with the 200x S at 4.94 ...
Is this really compatible with the 200x S at 4.94 lb? All other compatible lights in Aputure’s guide is under 3 lb.
So after having used this Light Dome III with a 200d for the last 6 months on several corporate talking heads, I can say that it mostly works. The issue comes from the mounting, it sags a little but it holds, that is unless someone is touching the softbox for some reason then it comes loose off the light pretty easily. If I could go back, I would probably get the Light Dome Mini III or a different, lighter Light Dome if you're trying to use this on a 200d/x.

I am getting conflicting information from Aputure ...
I am getting conflicting information from Aputure support, vendors and resources. Is this really compatible with the amaran 200x S? It weights 4.94 lb while all other lights in Aputure’s compatibility guide are less than 3 lb. Light Dome full size is not listed as compatible in the guide. Will it sag due to the weight and damage the Bowen S mount?
I have an Amaran COB 200X s and an Aputure Light Dome III. Yes the Dome III fits the Amaran 200X but the Amaran has a plastic housing and the pivot clamp on the 200X s must be tightened down pretty tight to support the dome III weight. Possibly exceeding design limitations. I just use an Aputure Mini III dome on the 200X
