Neewer X17 Reviews
Very good for the price
The case seems very fragile, cheap but it does the job. Everything is made of metal, and it comes pre assembled, so is very easy to set up. The app is not very useful so I had to use sidecar with my iPad with the desktop version and control the app via my MacBook , that’s the only way I founded to be able to see and control the iPad . The remote is useful but only when is you the one in front of the camera .
Great Hardware for the Price
I was looking at one other, slightly cheaper prompter to use with my Canon C300 and opted for this one because it looked to be better-built. I can say I'm actually impressed with the hardware for how inexpensive it was. Neewer's app is useless so don't bother, the apps I found that are useful are subscription-based. What I've been doing, since I primarily do 30-second promos, is taking a screen shot of the copy, vertically flipping it and throwing that on the prompter tray.
