The arm is 30" long and can slide in any direction along the yoke and be locked down in a desired position. The arm also has three 3/8"-16 male mounting points. When I hike, I carry my Peak Design Carbon Fiber Travel Tripod to shoot nature pictures and videos. Having recently added to my gear the Canon RF 5.2mm f/2.8 L Dual Fisheye 3D VR Lens to film VR videos, a horizontal bar was necessary to shoot without seeing the tripod's legs. After some research, this bar from Neewer seemed to be the right choice to work in conjunction with the Peak Design trip. I have it tested several times now, and it does the job perfectly.
