The Fenix PD40R V3 Rechargeable LED Flashlight features multiple upgrades over earlier models, including an easy-grip rotary switch for confident one-handed brightness level selection. The light offers four brightness levels from 30 to 3000 lumens, plus an SOS mode and a 3000-lumen disorienting strobe mode for self-defense. Its 21700 battery charges right in the light via USB-C. Having no tail switch, the light is capable of tail standing for hands-free use.
Engineered to handle the rigors of daily use, the waterproof, impact-resistant housing is made of 6061-T6 aluminum alloy with a Type III hard-anodized finish. The PD40R V3 runs on a single high-capacity 5000mAh 21700 battery, plus it can also run on a smaller 18650 battery using an optional battery holder, though outputs and runtime may be affected.
