I love finally being able to get my mic input back and not having to embed the super annoying audio timecode track into my sony mirrorless camera. So happy they enabled the use of this cable on the a1 II with the most recent firmware.

Finally making time code work on a Sony FX3

This little cable is perfect to get Tentacle time code into a Sony FX3, sleaker than the interface that Sony offers. Although another 1 of cable would be lovely, it's not a deal breaker. It's a must for any Tentacle users for all the necessary cables to get TC connected.

On newsshooter[dot]com they mention that "The a6700 also offers proxy recording and it can utilize the same timecode accessory that works with the FX30." It sounds like this cable would work with the A6700 then. Can you/anyone confirm?

Tentacle Sync E MK2 will not sync via this cable and USB port. It only works via the 3.5 mic input on FX30. What's the fix?
Asked by: Benjamin
Connect the Tentacle Sync E MKII Timecode Generator to the Sony FX30 Digital Cinema Camera using the Tentacle Sync 3.5mm TRS to Multi Interface Timecode Cable for Sony FX3/FX30 (7.9"). Then, to engage timecode, you will need to adjust the settings on the FX30 Camera. First, go to Menu on the camera, and then select Timecode. Next, select Free Run, and then, after you get out of the menu, the timecode should be set.

Has anyone tried it with a Zoom F6?
Asked by: Jerome
The Tentacle Sync C24 3.5mm TRS to Multi Interface Timecode Cable is not compatible for use with the Zoom F6 Multi-Track Field Recorder. The 3.5mm connector on the C24 cable is for connection to a Tentacle Sync SYNC E, TRACK E, or their original timecode unit and the other connector is a Multi Interface connector specifically for connection to a Sony FX3 or FX30 Cinema Camera.
