The Kase 52mm DIY Magnetic Screw-In Adapter Ring Kit allows you to convert conventional 52mm screw-in filters to the magnetic type. The kit includes two rings. One ring is magnetic on one side and has 52mm male threading on the other. This ring screws onto your camera lens. The second ring is magnetic on one side and has a 52mm female thread on the other. Screw your filter onto this second ring. Then magnetically mount this second ring onto the first one that's already on the camera lens. Filters heavier than 2 oz, such as certain variable ND filters with brass rings, are not recommended.

I needed a simple Magnetic system to hold my filters. Kase DIY Screw-in Adapter Right Kit was just what the Dr. ordered. B&H never fails to come through with what I need. I've been shopping at B&H since 1981 when I was in college. And they took great care of my needs. They are the Gold Standard for all my Photographic solutions.

Bought this for use with a CPL. It is incredibly easy to use, simple concept, snug fit, holds filter securely in place and easily allows rotation without interference. This is the third set I have purchased installing on my most commonly used lenses. One caution: if used on a wide lens, i.e., 18mm, with a UV attached, you may see some slight vignetting. This can eliminated by removing the UV, of course, but sort of defeats the purpose. Otherwise, excellent performance. I would recommend for anyone using filters frequently. B&H shipped factory sealed product (unlike other sources...), quickly and efficiently, as usual.

Which Kase 77mm adapter ring do I need for the lens itself that works correctly with these DIY rings?

The Kase DIY Magnetic Screw-In Adapter Ring Kit (77mm) includes two rings. One ring is screwed on the lens and the other is screwed on the filter. You don't need to buy a ring separately to have this work with one filter. If you want to place a ring on a second filter so that you can easily switch between two filters quickly you can purchase extra rings for the filter here. https://bhpho.to/45FWGka Unfortunately, Kase does not make available just the lens ring available separately. The lens ring is only sold together with the filter ring.

The Kase DIY Magnetic Screw-In Adapter Ring Kit (82mm) is incompatible with Kase Revolution Magnetic Filters. This adapter ring kit converts conventional 82mm screw-in filters to the magnetic type.

I'd like to be able to use this with a polarizing filter, but the filter weight sometimes causes it to fall off. How to fix?

Instead of the Kase DIY Magnetic Screw-In Adapter Ring Kit (77mm), I would suggest using the Kase Wolverine Magnetic Filter Adapter Ring (77mm), B&H # KAMAR77MM, with the Wolverine series filters.
