The 82mm DIY Magnetic Screw-In Adapter Ring is an extra ring for your 82mm DIY Magnetic Screw-In Adapter Ring Kit from Kase. It allows you to convert conventional 82mm screw-in filters to the magnetic type. It's magnetic on one side and has an 82mm female thread on the other. Screw your filter onto this ring, and then magnetically mount this ring onto the male-threaded magnetic ring that's part of the optional DIY kit. (The male-threaded ring is the one that screws onto your camera lens and provides a magnetic mounting surface.)

The Kase DIY Magnetic Screw-In Adapter Ring (77mm) will not work with a lens with the Kase KW Revolution Magnetic Inlaid Adapter Ring (77mm) attached. I would recommend the Kase DIY Magnetic Screw-In Adapter Ring Kit (77mm) instead: BH #KA1108080051.

With it you can convert conventional 49mm screw-in filters to the magnetic type. One side is magnetic and the other has a 49mm female thread. Screw your filter onto this ring, and then magnetically mount this ring onto the male-threaded ring, which is the one that screws onto your camera lens and provides a magnetic mounting surface that is part of the DIY kit.
