Ordered this filter to protect the sensor while changing lenses. Preferred to have a filter with coatings to prevent ghosting, glare, and flare with no other changes. A plain glass filter did not seem to be a good general solution. Prevents dust from getting on the sensor and prevents accidental contact with the sensor. Excellent fit. Easy to install.
