Z CAM E2N MFT Mount Reviews

Great for studio installs

We own 6 of the Z Cam E2N cameras and are planning to buy more. They are perfect for podcast/radio studio installs where you need an affordable solution to add video. Much better quality than a PTZ for installs. The web gui control and NDI output with SD card recording make these the perfect cameras.

A great camera made better

I own 5 Z-Cam E2C's for my podcast/livestream studio. The only gripe I ever had was that the E2C needed the Stream Converter app to output NDI. Now with the E2N, it's native. This was a game changer for me. I wish I could trade in all my E2C's for the E2N. Plus there is a multicam function for syncing that I really want to play with. Small and powerful. I've been a happy Z-Cam owner since 2019. I've gotten many compliments on the quality of my video podcasts and much of that is thanks to Z-Cam.

What are the polarity of the Lemo pins. Is the one near the red dot positive?
Asked by: David
The polarity of the Lemo 2 pin power connection on the Z CAM E2N 4K NDI Camera when looking at the connection would be that the top pin is negative power and the bottom pin is positive. Image of the power connection ( lower Right) https://bhpho.to/42VgJdu

I don't see the GenLock (sync) ports on the back, like the E2, can this sync w other E2N's & with other ZCams w/o timecode?
Asked by: s
The Z CAM camera line has two kinds of mulitcam sync. The Z CAM E2N 4K NDI Camera supports Sync via Z CAM EzLink. PixelLink - Pixel level / line level sync precision, Z CAM E2 or customized version only, requires sync cable and daisy chain connection. EzLink - 0.5ms sync precision, all ZAM E2 series cameras, all cameras connected to a switch (no need to daisy chain). 1) Original E2 camera does not offer genlock. 2) E2-F6 Pro supports genlock. 3) E2 supports PixelLink for multicam sync. 4) All Z CAM E2 series cameras supports EzLink for multicam sync. 5) E2N (new NDI model) supports EzLink.

How does this differ from the E2C? Would it basically be a "studio" and/or "streamer" version of the E2C? Thanks!
Asked by: Davis
The Z CAM E2N 4K NDI Camera has a larger body over the E2C. However, the major difference is the recording formats. The E2C offers 10-bit recording formats, and the E2N is 8-Bit NDI recording, as well as output for streaming.
