easyCover Camera Case Reviews
Useful sometimes
When I first bought my Z8, I used this everyday. It did a good job of protecting the body from minor bumps and scratches, and for a good price too. However, after around 6 months I realize that it impairs ergonomics quite a bit, and can make it harder to get certain shots. I now use it from time to time if I'm in a situation in which I know my camera could get scratched or very dirty, for which it works well.
Fits and provides increased protection; reasonable grip
Initially I was concerned that this protective cover would not provide enough grip but it does seem to be just fine in my hands. It does provide some protection particularly for the sides bottom and some of the top and back which was the primary goal of the purchase. The cover for the flash attachment is a desirable feature although it has to be reinserted occasionally. The camera cover could use just a bit more bulk or protection in the back although this may be limited to prevent binding on the display screen when the screen is articulated. The screen does squeeze or bind the cover in some positions on the back left corner when rotating into some positions. However it does surround the screen when the screen is inverted and enclosed in the body for screen viewing. Overall adds protection and provides the same or better grip for my hand size. Improvements would be slightly more thickness of cover and more coverage for the button area and on the back around the screen. Improving upon the squeeze or binding when moving the articulated viewer screen on the back is probably just not easily possible for the R8.
