Much better than the IP100, worth every penny! Being able to plug in a 32 button stream deck is a game changer

Canon needs more options

I was excited to see new firmware notes that says now compatible with this new remote controller. Then I saw it and realized it was not for 99.99% of people. Canon needs to make a zoom / focus controller that is not so over the top with features. I understand this is for a different market, but I just think there’s a huge chasm between this and very low quality third-party controllers. At the very least provide an API so we can make our own controllers.

Does the Canon RC-IP1000, Sdi output supports 3g Sdi? And can it control other PTZ camera apart from Canon?
Asked by: Oladipo
The SDI output of the Canon RC-IP1000 Advanced PTZ Controller supports 12G-SDI which is backwards compatible with 3G-SDI. The controller only supports Canon's XC and NU serial protocol and so would not be compatible with non-Canon cameras.

wonder whats the solution will be to record each camera separate for later editing?
Asked by: Eran
If your cameras have HDMI/SDI output, you could consider a switcher like the Blackmagic Atem ISO models. The Blackmagic ATEM ISO models record in 1080p to SSD media. The Atem Extreme supports up to 8 camera recording and the Atem Mini models support only 4 camera recordings. Please note, the Canon RC-IP1000 Advanced PTZ Controller is only a controller to control PTZ cameras.
