SeaSonic Electronics VERTEX PX Overview

80 Plus Platinum certified for high efficiency, the Vertex PX- 1200 Modular Power Supply from SeaSonic provides up to 1200W of power for the components in your PC build. The 135mm cooling fan and Premium Hybrid Fan Control keep your computer cool and quiet under load. The Vertex PX-1200 comes with three PCIe connectors for graphics cards and other devices, a 12VHPWR connector for next gen NVIDIA graphics cards, and five SATA connectors for storage devices and disc drives. The ATX form factor of the Vertex PX-1200 fits in most cases and the flat cables make cable management a breeze.

Premium Hybrid Fan Control
The Premium Hybrid Fan Control is designed to keep the fan noise as low as possible, even under load. While below 50% load, the power supply runs in fanless mode and at over 50% load it will switch to cooling mode. Hybrid mode can be shut off via a button on the back of the power supply.
12VHPWR Connector
The Vertex PX-1200 comes with an included 12VHPWR connector, eliminating the need for adapters for NVIDIA's 40XX generation of graphics cards.
Easy Cable Management
Cable management is simple thanks to the Vertex PX-1200's fully modular design. The flat cables allow for easy routing through your case to keep the cables hidden.

I purchased this 1200 watt PSU to replace an aging evga 750 supernova. 2 of the 2 seasonic PSUs that I tried both died within seconds of powering on the system. I wanted to replace the 750 PSU since its a lower 80+ rating and pretty much at its max with a 3090ti, 7950x, 8 fans and d5 pump. The first vertex would power on and stay on between 5-60 seconds before turning off. Thinking there was an issue with the motherboard, I RMAed my ASUS X670E and it was sent back with nothing wrong. I tried different RAM, no SSDs, no GPU and the PSU still shuts off. B&H sent me a replacement, I hooked it up to my system and within 30 seconds, it shut off and wouldn't turn back on. As far as I'm concerned, these PSUs are junk. I'm writing this review on this very system powered by the original EVGA psu. I know its not my system since it runs perfectly fine with the EVGA PSU but won't stay running with a 1200 watt PSU (I've tried multiple PSUs and this is the only one that will not stay on). I will be returning this replacement for a refund and going with a different brand. This was my first and last Seasonic PSU purchase.

Pros: - Very powerful, 1200W, Platinum 80+ Class; - ATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 Compliant; - Fully modular; - Hybrid fan control; - Compact size, 160 mm length; - Very high quality all components; - All types of cables, screws and straps in pack. Cons: None Overall Review: My previous power supply was Gold class, so I never had such wonderful PS before. This one is a new level - Seasonic Platinum Class - Piece of Art. Everything in package: Power Supply and cables are very high quality items, even screws. I've used supplied tester and user's manual for checking PS after unpacking, in normal mode with fan on. Installation Guide is clear and understandable. Assembling the new PC with this Power Supply was a pure joy and pleasure. Simple and easy. Power Supply works very quiet even under pretty heavy load. Totally I'm very satisfied with purchase of this Vertex PX-1200. Looking forward to apply 12VHPWR cable with a new video card. Power Supply is a heart of PC, it should be very high quality thus it can't be cheap. This one is the highest level of PS which I ever saw and hold in my hands.
