From Manufacturer

Designed for content creators, the compact Samsung 2TB T9 Portable SSD now delivers a sequential read speed of up to 2,000 MB/s, which is nearly double its predecessor, the T7. The sequential write speed is up to 1950 MB/s, while photographers will be happy to know that the sustained write speed is up to 1000 MB/s (after Turbowrite). Add low idle power consumption and reliable durability, and the T9 is ready to join in the field.

Note: To achieve maximum advertised speeds, please make sure your computer or host device is certified to support the 20 Gb/s USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 connection. Apple devices, including those with Thunderbolt/USB4, do not support 20 Gb/s USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 and will be limited to 10 Gb/s USB 3.2 Gen 2.

Performance
In addition to the T9's impressive transfer speed of up to 2,000 MB/s, T9's Turbowrite buffer size was increased to suit the usability of content creators. For sustained performance, the T9 has a write speed up to 1,000 MB/s (after Turbowrite) without any sudden performance drops, which is essential for high-end camera users.
Wide Compatibility, Including Galaxy and iPhone
The T9 is compatible with the Apple iPhone 15/Pro/Pro Max, with support for ProRes 1080p/30 fps, 4K/30 fps, and 4K/60 fps. The T9 is also compatible with Samsung Galaxy smartphones.
Thermals
The T9 does not have any performance drops due to thermal throttling.
Power
The T9 has five times lower power consumption in its idle state compared to competitors. Idle power consumption is important, since PSSD completes host commands quickly and drops back to idle status for the remaining time.
Durability and Reliability
Samsung verifies and guarantees durability through various evaluations that simulate behavioral patterns using PSSD in real life, such as the tumbler test, drop test, and load test.
Design
The T9 features curved diagonal lines and reverse carbon patterns on the surface, giving the rubber a fabric-like feel and a soft touch.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love this thing. It's got tons of storage space and connects easily with all of my Samsung products. It was actually stolen from me by a homeless girl and made it back to me in one piece. I have absolutely 0 complaints on its transfer speed or heat dissipation

Do LabelMaker labels stick to the surface, for sending drives to clients, organizing drives on set, etc?
Asked by: Nick
The rubberized texture on the Samsung 2TB T9 Portable SSD may be difficult to stick labels directly on. You could apply gaff tape to the SDD, then apply the label to the gaff tape.

Will this be good enough for dji 4d Ronin? Especially for raw recordings
Asked by: fahd
The Samsung 2TB T9 Portable SSD is fast enough, but due to a in camera restrictions, you can not record RAW or anything over 4K 60P when using third party SSDs. The DJI PROSSD 1TB is the only SSD which does not have recording restrictions placed on it.

Does it work at 20Gbps if Apple Thunderbolt 4 (USB‐C) Pro Cable is used with MacBook Pro M3?
Asked by: Muhammad
The fastest transfer speed standard on the Samsung 2TB T9 Portable SSD is USB-C 3.2 X 2, which tops out at 20Gbps.However, this is 10x the rated read speed of this model. The actual speed will still top out at the read/write limits of the drive, not the USBC 3.2 transfer medium.
