Blackmagic Design brings next-gen digital film capture to the masses with their new Cinema Camera 6K. Based around a full-frame 6K sensor and an active Leica L lens mount, this high-end camera features rich colors, accurate skin tones, a wide 13-stop dynamic range, and a built-in OLP (optical low pass) filter that is tailored specifically to the massive 24 x 35mm sensor. ENG users and other on-the-go shooters will appreciate the ability to record both deep bit-depth Blackmagic Raw and H.264 proxies simultaneously to Blackmagic Cloud. The Cinema Camera 6K takes a step up from the Pocket Cinema Camera line but handily retains the ability to use all the existing PCC accessories.

Is the CC6K the same size as the 6K Pro / G2, and if not, is it larger or smaller? Should we expect our cages to fit?
Asked by: David
As the other comment said, there is a chance your 6k pro / 6k G2 cage will fit vertically. However, most of the cages I've seen extend out on the top to be flush with the EVF mount. There is a strong chance the top of your old cage won't line up with the Hotshoe, or at minimum, there will be an awkward bump protruding from the top of your camera rig. I'd say hang tight for new cages to come out.

ND filters like the 6k Pro?
Asked by: s
Due to the 20mm flange to sensor distance there is no room for internal (mechanical) ND. The advantage of a mirrorless style camera is that you can adapt almost any non mirrorless lens to it.

Does it have any weather resistance?
Asked by: Sergey
The Blackmagic Design Cinema Camera 6K (Leica L) has an operational temperature range of 32 to 104°F / 0 to 40°C, and a humidity range of 0 to 90%, but it does not have any weather rating, so if you are going to be using it in rain, snow, or dusty environments it is recommended to use protective measures to keep the camera safe.

Blackmagic Design Cinema Camera 6K's dual native ISO info from the site: The native ISO of 400 is ideal for scenes with on-set lighting. The secondary high base ISO of 3200 is perfect when shooting in dimly lit environments.
