I purchased the original Road Caster Pro about 5 years ago it suddenly died on me in the middle of a recording in 2023. Being the gaget person I am, always searching and researching for podcast equipment. I bought the Zoom L8 and the channel 1 fader crashed not long after. I returned it and bought the DLZ Creator. Awesome mixer!!! But I needed a smaller mobile alternative and bought the Podtrack P4. It was great for what it did best. All in one solution for podcasting and internet streaming. but.... I couldn't manipulate the audio in terms of compression or EQ and having to monitor volume and clipping often. So I looked at Mackie profx6v3 and Yamaha AG06. The the reviews sold me on the Mackie.... Setting up without the manual was turbulent! :) my fault. Having spoken with Lisa in pro audio at B&H, I connected the profx6v3 to the podtrack P4..it was perfect! Clean audio and a satisfying rush of excitement! It was a match made in heaven!!! Putting the button compressor and 2 channel equalizer to work was pleasant and pleasing. That did it for me. No faders oh the profx6v3? No No problems for me. Set it and forget it. The preamps are crystal clean. To me they sounded better than on the DLZ Creator. Running the profx6v3 live stream on my internet radio station sounded much louder than on the DLZ creator also. The only things I wished the profx6v3 had was TRRS phone calls and not only Bluetooth. Also, I recognized that Rode bought Mackie, and the DC power cable connection was the same as Rode DC cable accessory which came out to power the original Rode Caster Pro. See in photo attached, do a lightbulb went off in my head! What if I could use a battery to power the profx6v3?!! I didn't contact Mackie on this and do not know what long term consequences might follow. But it worked. Reason for doing this was, while I was recording today at a church event, the power cut from the extension cord twice. I was using AC power with the podtrack p4 and needles
