The headlamp is constructed of high quality materials and workmanship is good. I expect this light will provide good service for several years. With that out of the way The intensity of the light is good although I have no way of testing the lumens I have done a side by side comparison with the Coast brand model W H P-32R. That light is just as well made with a lifetime warranty. It does everything the Fenix light does but also has a red LED light to save your night vision. They are equally bright on the flood and spot beam settings but the coast light will save you a bit over $60.00
