Neewer ST83 Reviews
Great potential but not useful as a tripod replacement clamp

This looks to be very handy, and I bought it after doing considerable online research. I wanted a lightweight clamp to stabilize a lightweight camera in the field for night shots. The upper swivel ballhead is ok..but not terribly steady as the one clamp serves both the upper and lower head. the lower clamp though is the weak point. the pivot jaws when tightened down just have too much play. If you are looking for an ad hoc clamp to use as a tripod proxy, this isnt it. it would be great for most anything that does not need totally rigid clamping
