Neewer GM23 Overview

The red-trimmed, ultracompact GM23 Fluid Tripod Head with Arca-Type Quick Release Plate & Pan Bar from Neewer features a 43mm flat base with a convertible 1/4"-20 to 3/8"-16 screw mount adapter for compatibility with a wide range of tripods. The head supports up to 6.6 lb and offers 360° pan and +90/-55° tilt motion.

The Arca-type quick release plate provides a 1/4"-20 camera screw and nonslip rubber padding to prevent twisting. The included pan bar can be installed on either side for left- or right-hand operation. Other features include a 1/4"-20 accessory thread and a bubble level.

Good quality, easy to install. Perfect for tracking presenters for Zoom or recording. Replaced head without a control stalk.

These little fluid Pan & Tilt heads have worked out very well so far for use under smaller (lighter) Spotting Scopes. Nicely made with a nice fit and finish. Only thing I’d like to see improved upon is a slightly larger lock, and unlock knob for the panning knob. To make it easier to grasp hold of it! And they sell for an excellent price from B&H Photo-Video. I recommend trying one for your smaller spotting scope use.
