A must have accessory!

I mainly got this because it's extremely difficult to hold and operate the pocket 3 without it, and I'm a woman with small hands. This handle makes it much more comfortable and (obviously) extends your usage time. I like that the pocket tells you the life of the battery handle itself, and that you don't have to plug them in separately. I never really paid attention to how much extra life I got out of it, because I can already record an entire NHL game on the pocket's battery alone. Srsly, just get it. It's worth it for the comfort alone.

Can you use a mic plus headphones to monitor mic audio simultaneously?

The DJI Battery Handle for Osmo Pocket 3 does not have have any audio input or output capabilities.

Can this be charged while not connected to the Osmo 3 body? So a spare could be charging while another is in use.

Yes. The DJI Battery Handle for Osmo Pocket 3 can be charged without the OSMO Pocket 3. To charge the DJI Battery Handle, connect the handle to a USB-C power source. It is recommended to use the DJI 65W portable charger or DJI 30W USB-C charger to charge the battery handle.

Can you program to power on and start recording with one button?

The DJI Osmo Pocket 3 has a setting you can enable to have the camera power on and automatically start recording when you rotate the screen. The DJI Battery Handle for Osmo Pocket 3 cannot be programed to power on and start recording with a button press.
