Record two subject interviews and vlogs with your Multi Interface compatible Sony Camera using this Sony ECM-W3 2-Person Wireless Microphone System, thanks to its two clip-on transmitters with built-in microphones and dual-channel receiver with Multi Interface Shoe connection. The system supports the recording of both analog and digital audio signals in both mixed or separate channels for the ultimate postproduction flexibility. The receiver is ultracompact and has integrated 3.5mm TRS and USB-C output ports. Two switches on the side allow you to select separate or mixed channel recording and toggle between analog and digital output modes. Toggle safety track recording to protect against unforeseen interruptions. An attenuator switch on the transmitter units prevents clipping.

No, you cannot add a second transmitter to an existing ECM-W3S. We would recommend buying the two person kit (BH #SOECMW32P) if you see yourself needing two transmitters in the future.

The Sony ECM-W3S Wireless Microphone System is only able to pass two channels of audio via its receiver, so you would not be able to record two separate audio tracks in addition to a safety track.

Yes, the Sony ECM-LV1 Compact Stereo Lavalier Microphone is compatible for use with the transmitters included with the Sony ECM-W3 2-Person Wireless Microphone System. The transmitters have a standard 3.5mm TRS mic input and can be used with most lavalier microphones that have a non-locking 3.5mm TRS connector.
