PORTKEYS LH7H Overview

Add pro monitoring tools to your camera rig with the LH7H 7" High-Bright Touchscreen Monitor from PORTKEYS. This bright, 7" on-camera touchscreen display offers 1920 x 1080 resolution, 1000 cd/m² brightness, and the ability to input and output up to DCI 4K24 or UHD 4K30 video via HDMI.

The monitor is powered using the built-in L-series battery plate with a separately available battery, or it can be powered using an optional DC power supply. Other features include 3D LUT support, vertical shooting stretching, anamorphic correction on HDMI output, cropping, and a variety of image monitoring tools, including peaking, color temperature, waveform, histogram, and more.

High-Bright 7" Touchscreen Monitor
This 7" LCD on-camera monitor features 1000 cd/m² and a 1000:1 contrast ratio for daylight visibility. It is designed with a black enclosure.

Supports HDMI input and output up to DCI 4K24 or UHD 4K30.

Decent monitor, but I was sent a V1 model instead of the latest V2 model. The V1 model is missing a lot of features that is now advertised for the LH7H, like the new OS, log stops, Pinch-to-Zoom, fan controls, etc.

They recently had a firmware upgrade that makes this unit much more user friendly, however it is still missing some practical functionality. The user false color doesn't provide a gradient scale at the side to remind you of the color to ire correlation. Also, it offers 3 zebras that can be displayed at once. This is a great feature, but it would be helpful if they would provide range controls for all 3 settings so they can be set for different skin tones.

will this monitor automatically turn on and display the HDMI feed if it's connected to DC power with a on/off switch?

When the power switch on the PORTKEYS LH7H 7" High-Bright Touchscreen Monitor (Black) is set to ON and a valid compatible HDMI signal is supplied, the monitor will automatically display the HDMI source when power is supplied via DC.

If I'm shooting at 4K 60fps, will it show a 30hrz feed, or nothing at all?

The camera output would need to be set to 4k 30p. If it is outputting 4k 60p it would be an unsupported framerate when using the PORTKEYS LH7H 7" High-Bright Touchscreen Monitor.

If I want to power this monitor with D-Tap, does it come with a cable for the barrel jack or should I use a dummy battery cable?

The PORTKEYS LH7H 7" High-Bright Touchscreen Monitor does not included a d-tap power cable in either format (DC or Dummy battery), so if D-tap power is the desired power solution, a cable will need to be purchased separately.
