What is the maximum distance of detection, recognition, and identification of a small animal, of a human, and of a vehicle?
Asked by: Evgeny
Distance of detection with good clear contrasting conditions has been used up to around 300 yards on a deer. Defining recognition is important but you could clearly make out the shape of the animal at 300 yards. A small animal would depend on environment and conditions but roughly a few hundred yards. Humans would be similar to the 300 yards, Vehicle most likely past 400 yards.
