Easy to Share
Designed with selfies and social media in mind, the SOFORT 2 features a second release button on the front of the camera next to its built-in flash. The camera's wide-angle lens provides a 28mm full frame equivalency that's useful for group photos as well as landscapes. With the Leica FOTOS app, you can seamlessly transfer the photos you capture to your smartphone for sharing. Additionally, you can select photos in your Leica gallery that weren't taken on your SOFORT 2 and print them using the camera.
Personalize Your Photos
Built into the SOFORT 2 are various film styles and effects that allow for more creative photography including double exposure, fisheye, soft focus, retro, monochrome, vivid, and many others.
Customization
Accompanying the SOFORT 2 is its own color film which comes in neo gold and warm white. Lecia has also introduced numerous accessories for the camera including a wrist strap, carry strap, hip and cross-body bags, magnet frame, and more.
I am traveling internationally. Went out for the day with my family & realized by high end Leica did not charge overnight. So pulled out the Sofort2. My family was so happy with the group photos. We had a family ask us to take a photo with their iPhone. We did, then I took one with the Sofort and printed it out. They were ecstatic with the print! My family all told me it was their favorite camera so I am ordering extras to give out for gifts. Highly recommend this camera. Will it beat your M11 or Q3 in quality? No. Will it create joy wherever you go? YES!

This is a Wonderful Toy! It is not a professional tool. This is a Toy for people who remember a time when you loved to play! I feel strongly that there is room in our life for both. And they each enhance each other. It is also a lovely little machine. Well worth the cost.

The Leica SOFORT 2 Instant Camera (Black) resolution is 2560 x 1920 Pixel (4,9MP). And it can save the image. it save to the internal memory & microSD / microSDHC memory card
approx. 45 images (internal memory) / approx. 850 images (1GB microSD-memory card)

Leica doesn't mention what's the largest memory card it can support but a 1GB microSD-memory card will hold around 850 photos so a 16 GB micro SD will be sufficient.

Unfortunately, the Leica SOFORT 2 Instant Camera (Black) does not allow you to transfer the photos to the phone without printing. Another option is to save the images to the microSD card and then use a card reader to download the images to the phone.

For film processing, can the camera determine if images are b/w or color, etc. or is that done by the film?

The Leica SOFORT 2 will print color photos if you are using color film. However, since it can also save the image to a memory card, you can reprint later in B&W from a computer printer.
