It is perfect, everything we needed, easy setup, easy to use - in my opinion you don't need the Camera Joystick Controller. Try without it you can always buy it later if you feel you need it. If you don't need it you will save $1,200.

We love this product. The image is clear enough for us to zoom in for demos that include examining the facets of stones in a jewel setting and looking at the sharpness of a bench chisel. We also found that we can install threaded rod in different locations for us to move the camera for various events.

Does this system have to be connected to the network to operate all three cameras?

The PTZOptics PT-JOY-G4 IP/Serial Joystick Controller (4th Generation) included in the PTZOptics Producer-SE Camera & Controller Bundle (Gray) would need to be connected to the same Ethernet network as each PTZOptics Move SE SDI/HDMI/USB/IP PTZ Camera with 20x Optical Zoom (Gray) in order to control the cameras via IP. The controller can also be connected via serial RS-232 and daisy chained between the cameras for control via serial as well.

Does this system require a computer to operate or does it contain its own operating software?
Asked by: Curt
A computer is not required when controlling the PTZOptics Producer-SE Camera & Controller Bundle. However, a computer would be needed to view the camera's setup menu and make installation and setup less difficult. A POE switch for power and connecting all the gear and Cat 6 cables would be required. How close would this camera be in picture quality to the Sony BRC-H800? Can both of these be used on same RMP500 controller?

The color should be similar since the PTZOptics Move SE uses a 1/2.8’’, SONY CMOS sensor. Also, the camera should be controllable with the Sony RM-IP500.
