SoftMaker Office Professional 2024 is a one-time purchase that comes with TextMaker, PlanMaker, Presentations, and BasicMaker, and does not include the services that come with a SoftMaker Office NX subscription. This one-time purchase can be added to up to five computers and upgraded in the future, reducing future costs when compared to buying a new license.

The .DOCX format increases compatibility across document editors. When working in a file, an eight-language thesaurus is available to you for improving word choice, and the built-in spell checker corrects in 75 languages. The Professional version of TextMaker also allows for EPUB formatting and Zotero integration as well as the ability to insert QR codes and barcodes.
PlanMaker 2024
With 430+ built-in functions, and support for .XLS, .XLSX, and .XLSM formats, as well as templates in .XLT, .XLTX, and .XLTM, PlanMaker offers an intuitive and familiar spreadsheet editor.
Presentations 2024
Create high-impact, dynamic presentations, slideshows, interactive reports, and more with Presentations 2024. View and edit presentations in .PPT, .PPS, .PPTX, .PPSX, and .PPSM formats as well as .POT, .POTX, and .POTM templates. Export as a portable presentation, video, html, or PDF.
BasicMaker 2024
BasicMaker 2024 allows you to create, debug, and run scripts for automated processing on your documents and spreadsheets. Scripts created in BasicMaker can be executed directly in TextMaker and PlanMaker. There is also an included graphical dialog editor for creating boxes that allow users to interact with scripts.

After Using Microsoft Office At Work (when I Was Young And Not Retired) And At Home I Know Pretty Much All I Need To Know About Using It. I Don’t Need New Tricks And Definitely Don’t Want To Pay For A Subscription. I Have Migrated To A MacBook And As I’m Old And Stubborn Don’t Really Care To Learn New Tricks. This Program Provided An Excellent Alternative. About 99% Is The Same As Microsoft Office, It’s Cheaper And I Can Put It On 5 Machines, Not The 1 That Microsoft Allows. What’s Not To Love?

I've used a number of other Mac word processors and spreadsheet apps over the years, but I've always had to keep MS Office on hand for the simple reason that I work with a lot of other people who use it, and our documents have to be compatible. SoftMaker Office has changed that. It's designed to be a feature-complete replacement for MS Office, and for the most part it achieves that goal. In TextMaker, the only things I miss are the ability to view tracked changes and comments by specific reviewers and/or by type, to view the original document before changes, and to compare documents – all of which are pretty specialized features. I'm not as intensive a user of spreadsheets, so PlanMaker has everything I want and need. I never create PowerPoint-type slideshows, so I can't comment on Presentations. I've found a few bugs but they're extremely minor, and SoftMaker support has been extremely responsive to my e-mails, to the point that one of the bugs I reported to them has already been fixed. These are not native Mac apps, so some keyboard shortcuts etc. are different, but they're stable and fast and much smaller on disk than their MS equivalents. All in all a very solid alternative to MS Office.
