Great solution…if you don’t need headphones.

As a film/TV composer and audio post mixer, this is a good solution for being able to score and mix remotely. I can use my USB-A software dongles, have more screen options and still use external drives. The only problem is…it completely covers up the headphone output - with no audio pass-through. So I’ll have to use one of those USB ports for a portable audio interface, making the setup a little more clunky.

It is lightweight and replaces a number of adapters. However, it won't mount an Apple CD-ROM Superdrive (circa 2012) via the USB-A ports. You will need your old USB-A to USB-C adapter and to mount it via a USB-C port. However, it will mount a USB-A flash drive. I tried it on an M2 and an M3 laptop. Otherwise, great.
