Pioneer DJ DM-50D Active 5" Desktop Monitor/DJ Speakers (Black)

DJs looking for a pair of studio speakers will be thrilled with the black Pioneer DJ DM-50D, a pair of high-quality studio monitors with DSP that include a DJ/Production switch, providing two distinct performance articulations for their respective applications—all from a single set of speakers.

The class-D amplifier outputs 2 x 25W of power at 4 ohms. The 5" fiberglass woofers deliver a natural, punchy bass, and the 3/4" soft-dome tweeters deliver well-balanced high frequencies. A stereo mini-jack headphone output with a speaker-volume knob are built into the front panel of the speaker.

The rear panel features dual 1/4", stereo RCA, and 3.5mm stereo mini-jack inputs, along with an output to the right satellite speaker. In addition, a power cord, a 6.6' speaker cable (for the satellite speaker), a 3.5mm to RCA adapter cable, and bottom cushions are also included.

Advanced Design for High-Performance Sound
Each DM-50D speaker produces pure, balanced bass sound, thanks to a new Class-D amplifier with 96 kHz sampling DSP. In addition, the DM-50D model features an updated DECO convex diffuser to help deliver crystal-clear high frequencies in every direction. When artists need to raise the volume, the new 5-inch woofer creates extra power and its tweeter alignment allows artists to hear pristine sound frequencies. The grooves on the ducts reduce air friction to provide tight and punchy bass, while the curved front edges provide maximum rigidity and minimum resonance for clean audio at any volume level.
2-Way Sound Mode Optimized for DJing or Music Production
Gone are the days of deciding whether a monitor is best for DJing or making music—the DM-50D speakers accommodate to both needs. Artists simply flip the switch to choose either DJ mode or Production mode, and the DSP settings will optimize for the task, leaving artists free to concentrate on their mix.
DJ and Music Production Equipment Compatibility
With RCA, mini-jack, and newly added TRS input terminals, artists can connect different kinds of gear including DJ controllers and mixers, or the laptop and soundcard artists use for music production. Connecting and disconnecting headphones is simple via the mini plug on the DM-50D front panel. Volume control is easily accessible with the volume level knob now featured on the front of the speaker, removing the need to reach behind the back of the speakers to adjust the sound.
Sleek Design Catering to Any Style
Artists can bring a slick, professional look to their setup by choosing from two different colors. The finish of the black DM-50D can seamlessly blend with classic DJ equipment while the white DM-50D-W can better complement the interior design of the artist’s creative environment.

How does this compare to Denon DP-450USB? Trying to decide between the two on B&H site. Thanks
Asked by: Kamran
The AT-LP140XP does not have USB output. The Denon DP-450USB is more like the AT-LP120 which has usb out. If you're looking to just play records the 140 is a better choice over both. It's a more solid piece and weighs almost double what the Denon does.

Question about checking/adjusting the speed using ...

Question about checking/adjusting the speed using the strobe dots: On the consumer model AT-LP120XUSB it shows that three of the four rows of platter dots correspond to 33, 45, and 78 speeds which seems straightforward. On this model the markings seem to say that the rows of dots instead correspond to relative speed percentages (from the image it looks like +7.2, +3.3, 0, and -3.3%). How do you know which rows of platter dots to use to calibrate to 33, 45, and 78 rpm? Thank you.

Hello There! Does this AT-LP140XP turntable have a built in phono pre-amp?
Asked by: Joe
This turntable does not have a phono pre-amp, so if you require connecting to active speakers, i would suggest the Rolls VP29 Phono Preamp, BH #ROVP29.
