The solar unit can be mounted separately from the camera, with about an 8ft cable, allowing you to locate the panel in a sunny spot but put the camera under an overhang where it is better protected from weather and less noticeable. Setup is straightforward.

The Eufy Security S340 Outdoor Pan & Tilt Dual Camera with Solar Panel is only controllable from the Eufy Phone app. If you have a Modern Apple Mac computer with the latest operating system, the phone app can run on Mac desktop computers.

The eufy Security S340 Outdoor Pan & Tilt Dual Camera with Solar Panel (BH # EUT81701W1) cannot display 4 live views simultaneously. Instead, the ability to view a quad or multi-camera display is managed through the eufy Security app, where you can arrange and monitor multiple camera feeds simultaneously. It is recommended to connect your eufy Security S340 cameras to the eufy Security S380 HomeBase 3 (BH # EUT80301D1) for the best results.

Yes, the iPod Touch (7th gen) supports up to iOS 15.5 and the Eufy app requires iOS 13 or later. I would say the Eufy Security S340 Outdoor Pan & Tilt Dual Camera with Solar Panel would work with your iPod Touch as long as you have the above iOS 13 installed.

Can I install a separate micro card in this unit for additional storage?

The best way to expand storage is to work with the Eufy HomeBase 3, which has expandable storage if you add an SSD. The Eufy Security S340 Outdoor Pan & Tilt Dual Camera with Solar Panel does not have an SD card slot. Moreover, Eufy sells cloud storage plans directly, which would be another way to add more storage.
