The front-mounted 1.33x Front Anamorphic Adapter from Laowa enables you to convert your spherical lens to a 1.33x anamorphic squeeze with silver flare effects. Offering coverage for up to full-frame sensors, this adapter mounts on lenses with a front 77mm thread and can be adapted using the included 55, 62, and 77mm rings. It has a minimum close focus of 28.7" and can accept 86mm threaded filters. When used with Laowa Nanomorph lenses, it produces a 2x anamorphic squeeze.

Yes, the adapter could connect to the front of a still lens and add Anamorpic squeeze. The adapter comes with adapter mounts to lenses with a front 77mm thread. and can be adapted to other lenses by using the 55,77 and 62mm step rings are included. Please note that the Venus Optics 1.33x Front Anamorphic Adapter can work with Lowa Nanomorph Anamorphic lenses and spherical lenses and add a Anamorphic touch to your productions.

Yes, the Venus Optics 1.33x Front Anamorphic Adapter works with all sensors up to full-frame 36x24mm size but at 1.33x. This is not a 2x anamorphic adapter.

Could this adapter be used with the Laowa Proteus lenses?

If you could attach this adapter to the 2x squeeze proteus lenses yo would get an unusual 2.6 x squeeze factor. Besides this anamorphic adapter is probably too small to cover the large proteus front diameter.
The laowa 1.5 X squeeze nanomorph lenses are a good match for this anamorphic adapter if you want a 2X squeeze but this lenses image circle only cover up to super 35 sensors, not full frame

The Venus Optics 1.33x Front Anamorphic Adapter (Silver) comes with a 77mm to 77mm spacer ring for lenses with a 77mm front threading which feature a more bulbous front lens element.
