Sized for everyday carry and built for rugged use, the Fenix PD36R V2 Rechargeable Tactical Flashlight broadens its predecessor's five-level brightness range from 5 to 1700 lumens and extends its longer maximum runtime to 482 hours in Eco mode. Its high-capacity 21700 battery now recharges in 2.5 hours at up to 18W through its USB-C port. The PD36R V2.0 is controlled by two push-button switches: a Tactical switch at the tail that turns the light on and off, on a momentary or constant-on basis, and a Functional switch on the side that's used for cycling through the settings (Turbo, Eco, Low, Medium, High). Hold the Function switch for half a second to activate the 1700-lumen strobe for signaling or self-defense.<
The light is impact resistant, tested to 3.3' drops, and is IP68-rated waterproof, submersible to a depth of 6.6'. A textured body profile provides a sure grip in cold and wet conditions, and anti-roll areas are machined into the bezel and tailcap. A four-stage indicator lets you know the battery's status and glows red when charging. If prolonged use at high output heats the light to 122°F, it will automatically reduce brightness to lower the temperature. Similarly, when the battery capacity drops to 3V, the PD36R V2.0 will automatically step down to lower outputs and warn you that it's time for a charge.
