Will not last as long as you think and $$$

I will start by saying I do not use re-manufactured powdered cartridges. Did that/done that, once, and with disastrous results. They will make a huge mess inside your machine. So you are stuck with OEM. As a cost-saving measure, for my MFC-5915DW printer, Brother eliminated a report for checking how much toner is left. So twice now, did not find out the cartridge was empty,, till the printer stopped printing. Prices are unnecessarily higher than ever, and I am not getting 6000 prints with the work I am doing, nothing out of the ordinary. Even you were inclined to try and use a 3rd party cartridge, I hear that some printer manufacturers are using technology to detect 3rd party cartridges, and they shut your machine down without ceremony. Nice bunch of folks....
