As the AIDA Imaging Compact VISCA Serial & IP PTZ Camera Controller is compatible with VISCA over IP as well as the BirdDog PF120, it should be able to control the camera's zoom via VISCA.

How do I connect to a Sony SRG-X400 using VISA over IP? It continues to fail after many tries.
Asked by: Richard
The Sony SRG-X400 1080p PTZ Camera with HDMI, IP & 3G-SDI Output must be connected to the same Ethernet network as the AIDA Imaging Compact VISCA Serial & IP PTZ Camera Controller. Both camera and controller need to be connected to at least a network switch via the LAN ports on both the camera and controller.

If the AIDA Imaging Compact VISCA Serial & IP PTZ Camera Controller is connected via RJ45 to a network, it can control up to 7 PTZ cameras as long as those cameras on the same network support VISCA-over-IP.
