The Crown MB-2 is a surface mountable, unobtrusive boundary microphone designed for teleconferencing, boardrooms, courtrooms, educational applications and more. The microphone features a half-super-cardioid polar pattern, which effectively minimizes signal pick up at the rear of the microphone and eliminates coloration from surface sound reflections.
The MB-2 features a unique, modular design. The microphone features a bottom mounted 1/4" phone plug and a flush mountable insert with a 1/4" phone female input is also included. The insert permanently mounts into the desired surface, allowing the microphone to be removed when not in use. An included cover-disk is supplied and replaces the microphone when not mounted into the insert.
The MB-2 features a contoured frequency response that accentuates the response of the human voice, while eliminating low frequency noise. The microphone requires 18 to 48V phantom power and requires the MB-100 or MB-200 power supplies.
