Godox Projection Attachment For Bowens Reviews
A good creative tool
Well made creative tool to add to your photographic toolbox. Excellent way to bring defined light shapes to your composition. I like that alternative lenses are available, but for now I use only the provided lens that originally comes with this projector. More compact and less bulky than the flash projectors I use to use back in the 1990s.
Full Featured and flawed
It does a pretty good job and is fairly compact. My main issue is with the lenses. The focusing mechanism is too stiff and takes MANY rotations to go from close to far focus. It would have been more convenient if they had a much looser short focus throw or a slide focus mechanism. The problem with the focus stiffness is that often when focusing, the gobo rotation mechanism rotates with the lens. Additionally the lenses project some mild haloing around the main light circle. Itâs a very sleek, compact and full featured snoot. The fact that it has shutters and a gobo rotation mechanism is excellent. All they need to do is redesign the lenses. Thankfully thatâs possible since the unit has an EF mount
