Honestly, I've always just been worried about losing my camera and extension rod when kayaking. This fits perfectly and makes it impossible to lose it in the water. It' definately stands about a bit, but floats even with some weight on it. And all of the key controls are still easy to access. Seems a bit expensive for what it is, but essential for days on the water.
