Vosentech MicroFogger 5 Lite Overview

Capable of producing everything from haze on sets and stages to SFX for props and visualizing airflow patterns, the MicroFogger 5 Lite from Vosentech is an entry-level portable mini smoke machine with great versatility and an intuitive design. With the ability to instantly heat up and generate enough smoke to fill an average-size living room with odorless smoke in under two minutes, the MicroFogger 5 improves upon previous designs with a hot-swappable fluid tank and a replaceable, rechargeable lithium-ion battery (not included).

The interface is exceptionally simple with a one-button control that activates the smoke effect and switches between three power levels: low power for a haze effect, medium power for mild smoke, and high power for dense room-filling smoke. The MicroFogger 5 Lite is compatible with numerous Vosentech accessories, including a tripod compatible with the unit's magnetic back and a liquid fog attachment for fog and bubble SFX. Constructed from robust aluminum and steel parts, the MicroFogger 5 Lite can survive rigorous professional use and transport to and from locations without fear of damage. This smoke machine includes a 50mL bottle of fog fluid and a USB-C charging cable.

New Features
All-Day Power
The all-new, high-power lithium-ion battery is now removable, letting you run the MicroFogger all day with minimal downtime. Batteries can be charged externally or inside the MicroFogger using the USB-C cable.

Note that batteries are not included with this purchase.

Wireless Control
Using the optional keyfob remote (not included), you can trigger the MicroFogger at different power levels. There is no limit on the number of foggers a single remote can control.
Simple Interface
The one-button interface is super simple to use—just press to make smoke. The indicator lights will display the status of the battery, as well as the device temperature. Power levels can be toggled by quickly pressing three times.

Special Effect Types
Haze
The MicroFogger 5 Lite has three power settings. When set to low, it will create a light haze, which is great for simulating steam effects.
Smoke
When set to full power, the MicroFogger really pushes out some serious volume. It'll fill up an average living room in 1 to 2 minutes and is perfect for any special effects requiring strong bursts of smoke.
Fog
The optional liquid fog attachment (sold separately) can create a delicate layer of fog that flows around objects like a liquid. Perfect for tabletop photography.
Bubbles
This is a really cool one. The MicroFogger can generate smoke bubbles underwater, or using some bubble liquid. This opens up limitless opportunities for bubbling potions or elegantly served cocktails with a large smoke bubble on top.

Note that the MicroFogger requires the optional liquid fog attachment (sold separately) to generate bubbles underwater.

Small fog at a small price

With a recommended running time of only ten seconds, you can't a get a lot of fog from the machine, but the fog you do get is pretty good. It's well suited for portraits and product shots. Operation is a simple button push. I'm disappointed that the manual recommends their particular fog liquid (something to do with viscosity) as I'd hoped to refill using regular fog liquid. It does not come with a printed manual, but B&H are good enough to provide a link here. Although the description indicates that the batter is not included, the model I received included a battery. Your milage may differ in this regard.
