Full-Frame Coverage
This 50mm anamorphic lens provides sensor coverage for up to full-frame cameras.
Aspherical elements eliminate chromatic aberration.
Lightweight Design
This Saturn-series lens is made with a carbon fiber front barrel that reduces the overall weight while remaining durable.
The compact, lightweight design is ideal for handheld, gimbal, and stabilizer use.
Anamorphic Design
Horizontal neutral streak effects create an anamorphic look.
Ten aperture blades produce oval bokeh effects.
2.8:1 or 2.4:1 Anamorphic
An image captured in 16:9 is de-squeezed to an anamorphic 2.8:1 aspect ratio, whereas shooting in 3:2 yields a 2.4:1 final image.
The T2.9 aperture produces a shallow depth of field, separating your subject from the foreground, and the 10-blade aperture creates oval bokeh effects.
Constant 1.6x Squeeze
The 50mm Saturn lens maintains a constant 1.6x squeeze ratio at all focusing points, ensuring that the subject size doesn't change as you pull the focus.

I think I'm in Love

Just about all my lenses are Canon L Series lenses. They have been good. But I wanted my videos to look more cinematic, and saw this lens. I took a chance and bought it at a price much lower than any Canon lens. I took it out for my first run and connected it to my Canon R6V. I shot some footage in Disneyland. I came back, de-squeezed it in FCPX. And as I sat there, I felt something in my chest that I haven't felt in a while. Usually, that's when I am in love with a woman. But it's been a few years and watching the footage from this lens, I think I fell in love again.
The build seems sturdy. I was surprised at how small the lens was, especially compared to its sister lens (from my research there wasn't much of a quality difference so I went with this much lighter one). This is my first fully manual lens, so I will have to get used to that. But it's beautiful... it really is.

The Sirui Saturn 50mm T2.9 1.6x Carbon Fiber Full-Frame Anamorphic Lens may or may not require a gimbal to need counterweights, depending on the system it is being used on and how it is being balanced onto the gimbal.
