The DJI Mic 2 Clip-On Transmitter/Recorder is a white transmitter with both built-in microphone and onboard recording capabilities for seamless audio recording. Use in tandem with a separately available receiver, expand your preexisting Mic 2 wireless system, or connect to a mobile device/Osmo series camera via Bluetooth. The transmitter utilizes both 2.4 GHz digital and Bluetooth technology to communicate with the dual-channel receiver or even your DJI Osmo Pocket 3 or Action 4 camera from up to 820' away.

Onboard recording is facilitated thanks to the transmitter's internal 8GB storage for up to 14 hours of recorded audio. The transmitter supports 24-bit audio at 48 kHz and even allows for 32-bit float audio recording in tandem with the DJI Mimo app. This recording mode provides a high dynamic range for complex sound environments. Bluetooth connection with the Mimo app can toggle intelligent noise cancelling during video recording with compatible devices. A built-in rechargeable battery can run for up to 6 hours at a time and can be recharged via USB-C cable or separately available charging case.

Unreliable - And you cannot buy the standalone receiver

DJI MIC 2 is not a reliable product. I wrestled with garbled conversations, static, and cutting in and out for hours, only to discover I am not alone. Do your research. And should you damage your receiver, you guessed it, they quit making it. If you're walking around talking to yourself, maybe if you want cheap. You get what you pay for.

The case is perfect!

All I have to add to the other reviews is that this comes with such a perfect case. It's a nice little bonus.

When purchased as a single unit, the DJI Mic 2 Clip-On Transmitter/Recorder with Built-In Microphone must be linked with the receiver manually. Instructions can be found on page 6 of the manual here: https://bhpho.to/3uyVG3c

The DJI Mic 2 Clip-On Transmitter/Recorder is not compatible with the Insta360 X3. To make it compatible, you would need a compatible receiver like the one found in B&H # DJMIC21TX1RX, along with the external mic adapter for the Insta360 X3: B&H # IN360X3MA

Yes, the DJI Mic 2 Clip-On Transmitter/Recorder with Built-In Microphone (2.4 GHz, Shadow Black) is compatible with the DJI Osmo Action 4 Camera. The camera can connect directly to the transmitter via Bluetooth, so there is no need to use a cable or to plug in the DJI Mic 2 Receiver.

Whats the difference between this one and the whole package? If it can record on it's own, that means I can buy this and use it?

The DJI Mic 2 Clip-On Transmitter/Recorder with Built-In Microphone (2.4 GHz, Shadow Black) is only the transmitter. To complete the wireless system, the receiver is required. The transmitter does not work as a stand-alone recorder.
