Do not run coax through this unit!!

I owned the model BN1500M2 APC Backup for about 5 years and had the coax ran through the backup for my network. For 5 years, everything worked fine with that backup and with my network and all connected devices. Three weeks ago, that backup died. The battery faulted and needed replaced. I ordered this backup to replace that old unit. I plugged all of the same devices into this new unit that were in the previous one. The modem, router, pc, and the coax lines. My network experienced a wide range of issues, from poor connectivity to download speeds maxing out at about 5% of what I previously got (50mb/s vs 1200mb/s). I didn't even think that the backup could be the root cause to this. I called my ISP out to diagnose and they found that there was a very large amount of voltage getting into the coax line. This backup was the cause. I am very disappointed by this product. Especially since I had such a great experience with my previous APC backup. This is was not expected at all. Buy the other model, this one is not ready for consumers.
