The PG-2 Folding Gimbal Head from Leofoto makes it easy to capture fast-moving subjects with a large and heavy telephoto lens that otherwise could not be achieved by manually holding the lens. The gimbal arm swings back and forth through a 360° range and can be locked down at the required angle. An adjustable stiffness is integrated into this head's design to enhance stability and control during use. The folding camera platform features an Arca-type quick release set and has height adjustability to help balance a telephoto lens on the head. The body is made of precision CNC-machined aluminum alloy and has been hollowed out to optimize the weight-to-strength ratio. Along the arm of the gimbal are a 3/8-16" and two 1/4"-20 accessory sockets. The design of the PG-2 allows for the gimbal to collapse for a more portable footprint, perfect for traveling when space is limited.

Leofoto PG-2 Reviews

Very well made gimbal

Well made just like their tripods and other accessories. The folding mechanism is unique and potentially lets you put the whole tripod assembly in a case/bag without removing the head. This particular model has a stiffer tilt design than other free-floating mechanism such as their PG-1 model or other brands. Leofoto states this and makes it abundantly clear on their own website by mentioning it within the description and also in a separate sentence in colored type just to be abundantly clear. The resistance can be appreciated on larger, heavier lenses like it's intended for. You're probably not going to mount your 70-200mm on a gimbal. : )

Ingenious Design but tilt is stiff

This is a really ingenious and compact design, perfect for travel BUT the tilt on the gimbal arm is just really stiff and there's no way to loosen it. You can loosen the lock nut but the tilt just never gets looser than very stiff and that hampers the ease of use. If they made the tilt just a little looser this would be a killer 5-star product.
