Two-in- One Tool
The all-day viewing comfort of 10x42 binoculars with the ability to range on the spot. This means no more eye strain trying to observe through a traditional rangefinder, and no more wasted time switching from binoculars to your rangefinder while letting that buck slip away.
Save Space with a Smaller Packing List
Out in the field you have enough work to do, and nothing can ruin a hunt faster than forgetting necessary gear. These binoculars provide a dual-purpose observation and ranging solution for less gear to carry, make space for, and remember to bring along.
ActivSync Reticle for the Best of Both Worlds
ActivSync Reticle Technology auto-adjusts from black to red reticle and the display fluidly morphs to your background for maximum contrast and visibility in all conditions.
Angle Range Compensation
ARC Technology with +/- 1-degree angle accuracy (Angle Range Compensation) simultaneously gives you true horizontal distance as well as line of site distance so your up and downhill shots are just as accurate as those on level ground.
Tactful Control Layout
The tactile control layout allows you to find and use the controls easily with or without gloves on. The Mode & Range buttons are far enough apart so you won't hit one by accident while meaning to use the other. The focus control is right where you'd expect it. All of this puts you in control for the fastest and most precise scanning and ranging in the field.
Waterproof Construction
Wet weather won't end your hunt thanks to the IPX7 waterproof construction. These binoculars can be submerged to a depth of 3.3' for 30 minutes without compromising the integrity of the glass or electronics.
Bow & Rifle Modes
Ranging features include scan, near/far target, archery, and rifle ballistic modes, ranging out to a full mile with +/- one yard accuracy.
Exclusive EXO Barrier
The lens glass is molecularly coated with exclusive EXO Barrier to repel water, oil, fog, dust, and debris so you'll have a clear view when it matters most.

Bushnell Fusion X 10x42 Reviews

Great Laser Rangefinder, but needs work.

Bushnell did a really nice job with the design and comfort for use of this equipment. The optics is clear, the ranging ability is better than most and the display is probably the easiest I've ever read. However, the ballistics table is crap. With the easy use of todays technology and programing I for the life of me can not understand WHY they didn't allow for at least 2 or 3 user generated custom ballistic tables. I'm hoping that some time in the near future they will do that for this glass and tell us how to access the USB port (I'm assuming it has one hidden behind some secret door, most digital glass does) and we the user will be able to update the firmware. It would make this Laser Rangefinder perfect as for now it's at best a 5 out of 10 since not a single dang table comes even close to anything I shoot. Bushnell really dropped the ball on that feature. No need for Bluetooth or WiFi, just a few user programable ballistic tables.

Great rangefinder but illumination is very bad. Good for right-handed activation only.

The marketing material leads you to think these are going to have a bright red reticle in low light conditions. It is VERY dim. After verifying proper settings and changing out the battery to an Energizer, it still was very dim. I drove an hour to Cabela's and confirmed theirs was also dim as well on max brightness setting. The red illuminated reticle is almost nonexistent. I called Bushnell and the friendly, helpful rep recommended a new battery first. That didn't fix it, so I sent it to Bushnell (They sent me a prepaid label) and they tested it. Several weeks later, they sent it back saying everything checks out good. It is not all good. If you really need an illuminated reticle, this isn't the product for you. On the other hand, if all you need is a daytime reticle, it works great. As another reviewer mentioned, the reticle sits at an angle pretty far off from horizontal. Why they made it this way is beyond me. Another thing to consider is that this can only be activated with the button on the right side of the binoculars. While hunting in the woods, I like to hold my firearm in my right hand all ready to go. I like to be able to range with my left hand and quickly get on my rifle to take the shot. I can't do that with these because the button is on the right side... Just won't work. These are only good for two handed or single right-handed operation. As far a quality goes, they feel weighty and solid. When I scan, they return accurate ranges VERY quickly! I tested it side by side with my Leupold RX-2800 TBR/W and they were within inches of each other. The inclinometers measured about the same angles. The Leupold is known for being lightning fast and I can attest that the Bushnell Binoculars are just as fast! I only tested up to 500 yards against all sorts of surfaces. All worked very well. The binoculars are plenty clear for me. When adjusted properly, they pass through a decent image. Plenty bright at first and last light. But again the reticle is dimmer than I'd like. Still viewable though. If you don't wear glasses, you need to screw out the eye cups. The eye cups will push back in fairly easily throwing off the focus a tad, so be aware of this. If you put them in and out of a bag or chest rig, you might find yourself accidently bumping them down. I always check mine and screw them back out. Frankly, if I figure out a way to keep them locked in the out position, I will do that. These are great for the price, but I'm knocking off a star for dim illumination. I struggled Knocking off another star for what is truly deceptive marketing only because the phone rep was pretty cool and tried to help out. But in the end, It cost me a lot of time trying to figure out if mine were defective. If they just said it was dim, I wouldn't have gone through all this and would have accepted them as they are. I plan on keeping mine, but if an updated version comes out with ambidextrous buttons and a true illuminated reticle that is more level with the horizon, Bushnell will have hit a home run and I'll buy those and sell these. Currently, For the money, these cannot be beat.
