The LevelHed Leveling Base from 3 Legged Thing is a leveling base accessory for tripods that allows users to achieve a level horizon without having to adjust the leg positions of a tripod, even on the most challenging terrain. It has a +/- 10° tilt range that reduces setup times and increases the accuracy and precision of leveling, making it ideal for landscapes, panoramas, and architectural photography.
Formed from precision-engineered, aerospace-grade magnesium alloy with a stylish matte black anodized finish, the LevelHed features a raised central mounting plate that gives clearance for a tripod head or quick release clamp controls. It has a standard 1/4"-20 male thread, enabling direct mounting to a camera, and you can also use the supplied 1/4"-20 to 3/8"-16 bushing adapter to mount the base to a tripod head or clamp. The leveling mechanism is released and locked via a ratcheted knob, and the 360° panning base is controlled via an independent knurled twist lock on the side of the casing. Additionally, the integrated bubble level can be rotated into any position so that it can always be visible regardless of the platform angle or camera rig.
