Good in some ways, needs work in others.

Overall, solidly built hardware. After about two weeks of use, I am very happy.Downloading the vids to a PC via USB works great. However, at the same time, I do have three complaints. A. While the audio microphone hardware seems OK, the fact that it is always run at a user selectable, but fixed, audio gain means that there is always something out of range in real world situations. It really does need an AGC (automatic gain control) option. B. One of the accessories I bought for this was missing screws. C. While not the primary intended use, this camera does lend itself for use as a dash-cam. I have been using it this way and like it. However, I had to cobble together a mounting system to mount it to the dash of my car. I modified a dash mount for a cell phone. However, it vibrated more than I like. A nicer off-the-shelf solution from the company is something I might have bought. Is this something a third party might want to sell? Having said all this, there are some things I still need to assess. For example, I still need to test the night vision option. I hope to submit a second review down the road if I am able.
