Shure ADX3 Overview

The Shure ADX3 is a digital wireless plug-on microphone transmitter compatible with Axient Digital series receivers. It is ShowLink-enabled for automatic interference avoidance and real-time remote control of parameters. The ADX3 features a secure, twist-lock XLR connector and supplies 12 or 48V phantom power, allowing you to use any handheld or shotgun XLR microphone with the Axient ADX digital wireless system.

The transmitter operates in a single 146 MHz UHF bandwidth with selectable 2/10/35mW RF output power and a transmission range up to 330'. A special HD (high density) mode provides a dramatic increase in channel count when you're running numerous mics at the same time. The transmitter provides up to 6.5 hours of operation on a Shure SB900B rechargeable lithium-ion battery (included) or 5 hours on two AA batteries. A USB-C port is supplied for recharging and powering and a USB-C to USB-A cable, pouch with belt clip, and zippered storage bag are included.

With a durable, moisture-resistant, lightweight aluminum housing, the ADX3 transmitter delivers pristine audio quality and RF performance, AES 256-bit encryption for secure transmission, and advanced rechargeability options, making it ideal for high-profile sound-reinforcement applications.

ShowLink Enabled for Interference Avoidance & Parameter Control
  • ShowLink technology allows the ADX transmitter to execute an automatic, synchronized frequency change in a matter of milliseconds, ensuring clean, uninterrupted transmission, even in the most challenging RF environments.
  • You can also make instantaneous remote adjustments to your ADX transmitter settings (RF output, gain, mute, and more) when it is difficult or impossible to access the transmitter.
Use Any XLR Mic with Axient Digital Wireless
  • With its ability to supply 12 or 48V phantom power and a custom, fast, and secure XLR connector design, the ADX3 is ready to accommodate any handheld or shotgun XLR microphone.
  • The unit offers a -12 dB Pad for loud sources and can accommodate line-level inputs from a variety of sources.
  • The transmitter quickly syncs with an Axient ADX5D, AD4D, or AD4Q wireless receiver via infrared at the touch of a button.
  • 2/10/35mW selectable RF output power allows you to increase either the transmitter's range or the number of mics operating simultaneously.
  • Two transmission modes are available: Standard, for optimal coverage and High-Density, for maximum system channel count and robust coverage.
User-Friendly Features in a Rugged Housing
  • Automatic Gain adjusts the mic input level for you.
  • The power button conveniently doubles as mute switch, while preserving RF lock.
  • Frequency and power lockout functions prevent accidental or unauthorized changes during events.
  • A crisp OLED screen along with an easy-to-navigate menu and controls let you quickly access frequency, group, and channel settings, along with lock status, and RF output. Remaining battery life is also clearly displayed.
  • Offset function lets you balance mic levels when assigning multiple transmitters to a single receiver slot. Adjustment range: -12 to +21 dB.
  • Remove unwanted low-end with the 12 dB per octave high-pass filter, featuring an adjustable cut-off frequency selectable from 40 to 240 Hz in 20 Hz increments.
  • The ADX3's rugged metal construction is resistant to dust and moisture.
Convenient Power Management Options
  • Operates for up to 6.5 hours on the SB900B rechargeable lithium-ion battery.
  • The included SB900B batteries offer intelligent power management with precision metering in hours and minutes and zero memory effect.
  • USB-C port for battery charging and powering.
  • SBC200 two-bay and SBC800 8-bay chargers are available separately.
