Ethernet Camera Synchronization
Use just one OptiTrack eSync 2 per motion capture system to synchronize your Ethernet-linked cameras with almost any signal or source. Compatible with OptiTrack Prime series and S250e cameras, Motive software, and the Camera SDK, the eSync 2 features GPI, genlock, and SMPTE timecode support. It can be powered via PoE or an optional 12 VDC power input.
Precision Syncing
A single eSync 2 unit provides precise alignment for all your cameras within ~+/-5 µs of the input signal.
SMPTE Timecode
- Use the eSync 2 to stamp recorded and streaming motion-tracking data with SMPTE timecode for post-production compositing.
- Timecode support in Motive Body includes FBX, C3D, and NatNet.
- Timecode support in Motive Tracker includes CSV, NatNet, and VRPN.
Genlock Sync Input
The eSync 2 accepts SD blackburst, HD trilevel analog, and all current SD and HD sync inputs for syncing your OptiTrack Ethernet cameras to an external video source.
General Purpose Sync Input/Output
- Use the isolated GPI input when your sync source is above normal logic 3.3V or has a different ground reference.
- Three high-impedance digital inputs are used to send sync signals from an external device to the eSync 2.
- Four digital outputs send sync signals from the eSync 2 to external devices.
3D Shutter Glasses Support
- Avoid interference between motion-capture camera strobes and generic 3D shutter glasses using the adjustable software offset by connecting a video card with stereo output support to the eSync 2's sync input and a shutter glasses signal generator to the sync output.
- The eSync 2 provides VESA input and output connectors for use with graphics cards and IR emitters lacking BNC connectors.
